Representative matters Mr. Fletcher has handled in recent years include:
- Prosecution of a wrongful termination claim that resulted in a multi-million dollar judgment in favor of Mr. Fletcher's client after a three and one-half month jury trial;
- Defending claims made in a partnership dispute for a real estate developer in a pending arbitration. After a series of questionable decisions made by the arbitrator, Mr. Fletcher discovered the arbitrator had misrepresented his background to the parties to the arbitration. Based on this information, the Orange County Superior Court removed the arbitrator and Mr. Fletcher's client eventually prevailed on all claims raised in the arbitration;
- Defending fraud and unfair business practices claims made against his client, a national home-building company. After Mr. Fletcher took depositions of key percipient witnesses, the Plaintiff agreed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice. Mr. Fletcher's clients were not required to pay any money to the Plaintiff to achieve this result.
- Defending an Orange County company against claims made under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The case settled for nuisance value after Mr. Fletcher took the plaintiff's deposition;
- Prosecution of fraud claims on behalf of an Orange County company against a software manufacturer that had misrepresented the capabilities of a software package. Mr. Fletcher's clients obtained a $4.6 million jury verdict.
Since being admitted to the Bar, Mr. Fletcher has been actively involved in Orange County and State Bar Associations. In 2001, he was elected to serve as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Orange County Bar Association ("OCBA"). He was elected to serve as Orange County's representative on the California State Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors in 2002 and appointed to serve on the OCBA's Board of Directors in that same year. In 2001, he also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Chapter of Volunteers-In-Parole, Inc. In 2005, he served as Chair of the Business Litigation Section of the OCBA.
