Representative matters Shiry has handled include:
- Prosecution of bad faith claims against an insurance company on behalf of a client in the high-technology industry. Shiry's client received a multi-million dollar settlement on the first day of trial.
- Prosecution of breach of contract claims on behalf of a building owner against a tenant in default. Shiry obtained a judgment of more than $600,000 for her client.
- Defense of a restaurant franchise against trade secret and trade dress claims brought on behalf of a competing restaurant franchise. Shiry's clients entered into a highly favorable settlement agreement with no out-of-pocket payment to plaintiff.
- Defense of a national residential homebuilder against a breach of contract claim by a real estate broker. Shiry's client reached a highly favorable settlement, paying only a small fraction of the broker's demand.
Shiry is the Vice President of the Orange County Jewish Bar Association, and serves on both the Dean's Campaign Cabinet at University of California, Irvine, School of Law and on the Silent Auction Committee for the Public Law Center's annual Volunteers for Justice Dinner. Shiry is also a member of the Robert A. Banyard American Inn of Court.
Shiry earned her J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and an Honors Moot Court participant. She served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Brian E. Hill of the Santa Barbara County Superior Court; the Honorable Eugene M. Hyman of the Santa Clara County Superior Court; the Honorable Terry B. O'Rourke of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division 1; and the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte of the United States District Court, Northern District of California. Shiry earned her B.A. degree in Law and Society, with Honors, from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
